Don’t tempt the shadow

Heavy like a black cloak

It’s a weighty and illusive veil

I can’t see you if shadows will consume

They don’t shelter from the beating hail

Just icy little bullets

Melting and moving

You cower and you don’t prevail

Nothing but a shadow

See how it hangs low

You’re bigger than the lightless shape

Watching it turn into stone

As if by magic

Uprooted by this empty oath
